Now Taking Mead Orders

Sep. 4th, 2015 | 02:38 pm

So the smoke has cleared enough that I think I can safely return home either next week or the one after.  Before I do however, I will be making a run to Palisade's Meadery of the Rockies.  For those of you who are familiar with the meads I often bring to parties, this is where I get them, but unfortunatly they still cannot send mead to Washington.

I am willing to take orders for people and have you pay me when I deliver them after I get back to town.  Just send me an email or message on either LJ or FB with what you want sometime before the 10th.

Here is a link to their site with what they offer and prices: http://www.meaderyoftherockies.com/

Crinoline needs a home

Mar. 17th, 2015 | 12:49 pm

I have a crinoline that needs a new home. If I sent it to Goodwill/et all it would just be thrown away.

It is a full length underskirt crinoline (probably bridal), that is stiff enough to stand on it's own. It has a liner on both sides however so it is neither scratchy nor snags fabrics.  The waist fits 24" - 34" , and the length is 38".  the base rangest from 40" - 50" depending on how fluffed out it is and how heavy the fabric on top of it is.

Let me know if you are interested and we can try to work out how to get it to you.

So I made a small amount of something involving bacon for the weird food party, and I hate it.  I can see how others may like it, but I think it's awful.  So, do I take it anyway? Do I make something else ot take instead? Do I make something really good and take both?  I can't decide.

I am hoping my friends may have some suggestions for me.  I have found that with the Chronic Fatigue it is hard to motivate myself to do anything.  I keep finding suggestions of attaching rewards to a to-do list. The problem is that I cannot figure out a relivent reward.  Something like gaming time is not relivent because it is too easy for me to say "I don't feel  well enough to do work, and gaming is the only thing I am able to do for entertainment."  I can no longer eat sugary or carby things (thanks lazy frikkin pancreas), so treating myself to a dessert is not an option.  I don't have money to pay myself an allowance.  I frankly cannot think of anything that is motivating enough without being something I need without having done chores.

I think some of the problem is that before the FM/CFS I didn't have this issue.  I used to be very good about doing all my chores as a kid without even being asked more than once. I never even got an allowance. So pretty much I don't know how people motivate themselves with anything other than the satisfaction of having it done and checked off, which doesn't appear to be enough anymore.

I am losing weight again (YAY!), which is giving me the extra push I needed to clean out my closet.  I however have discovered that I have a serious clothing addiction.  It's not shopping, just the clothing itself. I don't like to get rid of anything, and I keep far more of every type of clothing than I really need.

So, now I'm finding myself wondering, what is a normal amount of clothing?  I know 20 t-shirts are too many, but should it be 14? 10? 5?
I know it's somewhat subjective, but what do you guys think is reasonable?

I ended up with a spare gift code for a digital copy of Dungeon Keeper Gold through GOG . Does anyone want it?

SI Belt?

Apr. 28th, 2013 | 09:12 pm

An unknown number of years ago I had a Sacroiliac Belt (SI stabilizer) made of leather with velcro adjusters and a padded leather triangle in the back..  I have not found it since I moved, and now wonder if I swapped it because it didn't fit at the time and I never thought I would loose the weight.  If anyone knows where it went, and is willing to return it, I would appreciate it.  Of course if you have a different one that you'd be willing to give me that would also be great.  My current one is falling apart, and is now loose enough that it doesn't help much.

Lately I have noticed I have a problem of there being too many things to do, both chores and for fun, and not enough energy to do them, so I end up doing nothing.

So, apparently my mother has decided that she needs to go to Disney World, and has decided to take me with her.  Don't get me wrong, I want to go, but planning this trip is already overwhelming and exhausting.  She has decided against any of the premade packages since they all have a bunch of stuff we don't want or care about in them, so the last several days has involved hours of phone calls while we are each online comparing and discussing airlines, hotels, restaurants, and park attractions.

Ok, here is the pleading part. Has anyone ever been to Disney World, when you were old enough to clearly remember things, and can give me any tips or advice?  I've been looking at things online, but most of it is aimed at families with kids.  I would love to know your opinions on what attractions were just not worth it, and which should not be missed.  Good restaurants? Ones with poor service? Anything like that.
